About
Rylie West was born and raised in Southern California, about an hour outside of Los Angeles, in a family with a deep love for sports. From a young age, she played softball, basketball, and soccer, but it was softball that quickly became her passion.
That passion eventually led her to compete collegiately at the University of Tennessee, where she proudly represented the Lady Vols.
During her time at Tennessee, Rylie discovered that sports are more than just a game—they’re a powerful platform for change. While balancing her role as a student-athlete, she developed a passion for storytelling and began hosting several sports-focused podcasts at UT. That interest deepened in 2024, when she helped write and produce a long-form documentary, Hunter, on the university’s national championship baseball team, featuring Hunter Ensley.
After her senior season, Rylie made her professional softball debut with Athletes Unlimited Softball, competing in the 2024 season before beginning graduate school. The following spring, she gained on-air experience with SEC Network, calling live softball games on SEC Network+ and strengthening her love for broadcasting and media.
Now, as she continues to advance in sports media and storytelling, Rylie is committed to creating impactful content that showcases the power of sports and the athletes who inspire communities.
